Skytech 3301 Thermostatic Gas Fireplace & Gas Stove Remote Control System Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)We use this device to control a furnace rated gas fireplace. It operates on battery as opposed to 110 volt wall current and that is a real plus when there is a power outage. Recently we purchased a second one of these devices based on two years of success with the first device. The second device operates a fireplace at a vacation home that is subject to power outages. Because it can be set to monitor the temperature and operate the fireplace without 110 volt current, it provides a backup heat source when the power is out and the temperatures are below freezing. This is important for a vacant home and it is helpful when the home is occupied. Be aware though that the fan on the fireplace will not run during a power outage so this device does not overcome that issue. FYI, batteries seem to last over a year so battery consumption is not an issue.
