(More customer reviews)I purchased this coal to go with my first hookah and overall, I'm pretty pleased with it's performance. The only thing I had a problem with was lighting it because I was unaware that you were supposed to light it on a stove. I turned the range on high and once it was red hot, I placed a coal directly onto the burner. Make sure you watch it closely because it will start to flame if it gets to hot (I learned this the hard way).
Pros:
- Lights really quickly (less than 5 minutes)
- Burns for at least 40 minutes
Cons:
- No instructions anywhere on or in the box to tell you how to light them
- As it burns, it leaves lots of ash which can be pretty messy
