(More customer reviews)Price was ok, shipment was quick, all was going perfectly until it came time to install. This control is a bit of a universal model, so the GE stove that I was installing it in had the control positioned at a 90 degree turn (3 o'clock over being at the 12 o'clock position). That would normally be fine, but GE has the wiring of their stove tops with very minimal slack, this meant that I could not turn the control at 90 degrees such that the Off would be at the 12 o'clock position.
So I had to pull an old control off another stove in another apartment we own that is vacant. We will have to either rewire the control circuitry to have longer leads to allow the control to be mounted at the 9 o'clock so that the off is at the 12 o'clock. Or try to find a different control. Everything else is fine.
My advise is to the next customer. Look at how the control is mounted in your stove top. If the long portion of the control is positioned 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock when looking at it... you are fine. If it is 12 to 6, then you will have the problem I had (unless you have a surplus of control wire in your stove top to allow this 90 degree turn. The interchange is the problem, it is not an exact replacement.
Sorry, but maybe it will help someone else to avoid the same problem.
