(More customer reviews)This may or may not be an original GE part, I can't tell. I doubt that it is. I highly recommend it. There's no GE emblem like the old one. But in reality, it's identical. It heats faster, it costs less than a lot of others on the market, and I bet if I called a repair shop, this is what they would bring (and mark up 200 percent). I removed the old part and install the new one in about 15 minutes. Easiest repair I've done in a long time. It's naive to think GE has its own factory staffed with little American flag-waving elves dedicated to building replacement parts for 40 year old stoves. If they did, this part would cost $100, not $22. Folks, these all come out of a small number of factories, probably in China. But the bottom line is that it works as advertised, fits perfectly, and saves me from having to buy a (Chinese-made!) $1,000 replacement stove for a few more years. If you really want to spend four times as much so you can have the GE label on your part, go right ahead.
