It is a little ugly with the iris things on it, but if flowers are your thing then you should have no problem with that. We have knocked it around and no scratches, it sits very close to the flame on our small stove and has no signs of melting. It stays clean, keeps our stove clean, and for the price can't be beat. If you need a spoon rest that is durable and don't mind flowers, you should be comfortable buying this one.
