(More customer reviews)After searching online for a more contemporary looking fireplace, I found this one on another website. I opted for buying with Amazon.com since I had bought from them before and never had any problems, and the prices were the same at both retailers. The fireplace arrived when they said, two days before Christmas and just as the weather was turning cold again so it was perfect timing. The fireplace was well packed with lots of foam and plastic surrounding the unit to give it more than adequate protection. I plugged it in and away it went-the flames look good, the heat unit does a nice job and the overall look is gorgeous. I have a black lacquer tv stand and this matches the modern look of the living room well. The quality is nice for the price and I'm pretty happy with it overall. The only complaint is that the pic shows a silver trim around the flames and mine arrived with black trim-not a big deal but it would have been nice to have a choice of one or the other. To me the pic should show exactly what you will get, not something close to it unless it says that. Having said that, I am pretty stoked with this item since it's my largest Amazon.com purchase so far.
