(More customer reviews)We replaced our 15 year old GE Profile Spacemaker with a new updated GEProfile Spacemaker Microwave Oven. It is basically the same one with big subtle improvements. I am probably the only one who used the old microwave with all of
its bells and whistles. I am amazed at how updated these items are today.
Forinstance to cook fresh vegetables just load them in and push the veggie button.
Somehow it senses when they are cooked to perfection and not rubber. I cooked a
perfect scrambeled egg in one minute, stirring once.
We oredered the undermount hardware just because. Guess what? Since we replaced
the identical microwave the old mount fit perfectly. Oh well.
I really would have loved it in stainless steel but didn't see it offered.
I do hope this gives us another 15 years but at that price I am not too worried
about the track record. The first GE over the stove microwave I bought 30 years
ago was $600!

(More customer reviews)I really only use the microwave for popcorn, heating up meals, and heating up coffee. It's been absolutely perfectly fine for that. One minor, minor thing is: there's no light on the inside when you open the door. That bugs me.

(More customer reviews)About six or seven years ago we redid our kitchen with a built-in microwave. It did yeoman's duty for lo these many years then started sparking and catching fire inside. Well, how long are microwaves supposed to last these days, anyway? Whatever I expected, the fact was that I needed a microwave with the exact proportions and hardware. With some trepidation I check online. Thankfully Sharp still makes the exact same microwave! Could I have gotten a bigger or fancier one with more features? I don't know. This has inside and outside lights, settings for reheating and frozen foods and water. And it's really big inside for its size. Besides, what do you usually do with a microwave? You melt cheese and reheat soup and yesterday's stew. It works great and cleans up very easily. Plus it fits in the hole where the old one was. Perfect. By the way, it showed up in two days.
