(More customer reviews)I bought this at Target, and it does everything you'd expect -- silicone is easy to clean, won't rust like some mesh screens, won't get dents and can store vertically or horizontally in your cupboard or drawer. It has a fully-covered metal edge frame that adds stability for use as a pot strainer, too. The 'ear' handles are no problem for me, although some may miss having a full-stem handle.
I paid $15 for this, so I was surprised to see it listed at $25+ from another seller on Amazon. I'm not sure any screen is worth that much, but this is a very good model you can find for nearly half the price.

(More customer reviews)You have to be careful when you lift it off the pan that you keep it horizontal because if you raise it to a vertical position, it will double back and you will risk getting hot grease, or hot water/steam on you.
As far as the amount of splatter control, I don't find that it is a lot better than normal splatter screens. I have to lay a paper towel over the top while frying as there still is too much splatter.
I find that the fitting on top of pans is about somewhat better than a regular splatter screen, but not as good as I was expecting.
I bought a new dishwasher that the racks are adjustable, but it still will only fit in one place in my dishwasher or it will flop around.

(More customer reviews)This thing is exactly what I was looking for. Sturdy and durable (doesnt bend) with an ultra fine mesh screen. I think this is the 13 inch size (use for 12 inch skillets). It may seem that it is easy to find a splatter screen, but most of the ones out there are crap so people end up breaking them or not using them. I was looking for a good one for months, and this is the best out of the dozen or so that I looked at (including the ridiculous $50 All Clad model). Although not absolutely necessary for me, I like the added feet so that you can set this down without making a mess.

With that type, food still splatters when it is lifted up to check on the food or turn it. The Norpor keeps the rest of the cooktop clean. I used it around my counter top grill to keep the splatters off the counter and wall.
