I use this size under my electric hotplate. It fits perfectly on my stove cover and protects the corian surface from heat buildup. It does not slide on the stove cover surface. The shiny textured surface is easy to clean while not allowing the electric hotplate to slide around.
I have ordered from this seller several times and received my orders promptly and intact. Very happy with the product and service.

(More customer reviews)There is a reason this style of protector has been around for ages.This is an easy, inexpensive way to protect cast iron when using an electric stove or hot plate. It does not allow the pan to come into contact with the heating element so the seasoning is not ruined. Also works for Pyrex coffee pots and any other types of pot or pan that should not be in direct contact with the heating element. I prefer this over the newer diffusers that seem to limit the heat from the burner to pan. This allows the cooking vessel to heat well while still being protected from direct contact.

Stove & Counter Mat (SM1417SW) Review

(More customer reviews)I've been looking for one of these for a year or two. The design has changed a bit with anti-slip material on the bottom surface instead of cardboard. Seems to work and looks much better on my 1950 stove than my old worn mat.
