(More customer reviews)It's a well worth, lifetime investment you pass on to the next generation! Never need another roasting pan if you treat her like your girlfriend (follow instructions!). Fits over 2 burners when doing stove top stuff with even heat and, in size and performance, a no brainer in the oven. Love the big handles. It's rather heavy, although, I am a small person - so that's personally - the quality and benefits are worth the extra lift. A solid piece of hardware!

Circulon 16-Inch Rectangular Nonstick Roaster Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this recently because of its special price on Amazon.com and its high rating. I purchased it without my wife's knowledge because I had to make a quick decision, so it was a bit dicy about whether or not she would approve.
Well, we used it today (Thanksgiving, 2007) for the very first time. Wow, was it great! It is very sturdy and just the right size to put into a very hot oven without much danger of touching the hot sides of the oven when putting the roaster into or taking it out of the oven. That's because the handles face up on the sides, rather than out, like our previous roaster handles did.
Also, the rack works very well for keeping the turkey off the bottom of the roaster, allowing air flow all the way around the bird. By the way - we roasted a 25.6 lb. turkey, and this roaster had no problem handling it!
The roaster is deep enough to handle any amount of basting/drippings from the meat. Additionally, when we finished with all of the meat and bones, we very easily poured the rest of the grease into a small mouthed jar, without mess. That means that while pouring, the grease did not run down and back on the sides of the roaster, as often happens when pouring liquids out of regular pots and pans.
All in all a very well made non-stick roaster, that is convenient to use, easy to clean and does everything you want a roaster to do (in my humble opinion). I give it 5 stars without reservation or hesitation.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this item expecting that it would be a light to medium grade stainless steel pan, would be easy to clean up, and would produce well-browned even cooking results. I was very pleased, and feel it's a fabulous value and really good quality. I prepared a wonderful "kurobuta" pork roast, and finished a sauce on top of my stove from the pan juices. There were no hot spots in the pan at all, and after all was said and done, the pan was a breeze to clean - no scouring was even required!
The rack was a pleasant surprise... it is very sturdy, and fits snugly in the pan - elevating contents at an appropriate height, but cradling them in a slightly rounded rack instead of a sharply angled "v" shaped rack. This allows for the liquids to evaporate evenly, coating the food being cooked well and keeping meats moist.
I'm sure the All-Clad pan for almost 4 times the price would perform very well too, but this pan performs very well and is a tremendous value.

Calphalon LRS1805P Contemporary Stainless Special-Value 16-Inch Roaster with Nonstick Roasting Rack Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this pan to tackle a prime rib roast for Christmas dinner. The pan itself is very heavy, solid and distrubutes the heat well. One thing I do not like about other roasting pans that I have purchased is sometimes the pan juices seem to burn in the oven which results in no "pan goodness" to make gravy with. I have used this pan multiple times and never had that issue- the bits and pieces will brown, but do not get a burned flavor. I attribute this to the construction of the pan and the heaviness of the weight. I would give the pan a solid 5 stars, but the rack that comes with this pan immediately started peeling and rusting even though I ran it in the dishwasher and promptly removed it. So what is a girl to do?
I bought the William Bounds silicon roasting rack (from Amazon) and now use this with my pan. I could have purchased a replacement rack for $19 or paid shipping and handling to get a replacement rack through the warranty, but I have been very impressed with the William Bounds rack and it fits perfectly in the pan. Clean up is a snap- both pieces go right in the dishwasher and come out looking as if I just pulled them out of the box for the first time. Plus, the WB rack has a slightly smaller grid so even on the coldest of days I can have familiy over (about 20 people) and still serve roasted chicken breasts with baked potatoes and salad in a snap.
