This pie iron works great and makes delicious hot sandwiches and "pies". It can be used with slices of bread, flour or corn tortillas, pie crust, puff pastry or egg roll pastry. It is great for frying single eggs too.
The only concern would be that the rod with the hook doesn't have a stop, so it could slide toward the fire or get lost if you unscrew the handle rods, but I fixed it with a little epoxy. Because of this and the parafin coat that can be hard to remove before seasoning, I give it just 4 stars. It's about time they change to something more like Lodge uses with their skillets that can be removed easily. If you don't properly clean the parafin off, you will get your kitchen full of smoke and burn smell when you season the iron in the oven.
To remove the parafin coat is best to put the iron head over a propane burner for a while so it warm up and run out or get burnt. Then let it cool a while, scrub it with soapy water and dry it. Spray some oil on it or rub it with crisco and bake it for one hour at 350. This can be done because the handles can be removed. Or if you already have the propane burner, you can just use it again to season the iron without removing the handles leting the oiled iron castings get really hot for some minutes, turning it constantly. Then spray a new coat of oiland let them alone to cool down. They get a beautiful black full seasoned finish instead of the golden brown finish it get in the oven.
I was doubtful between this jaffle iron or the classic pie iron with the longer rods. The handles lenght is adequate for the stovetop or the grill. Have not tried it on an open fire yet. If the shorter handles become an issue or get damaged over time, I can always make other rods threaded for it.

(More customer reviews)I've been doing A LOT of research into a folding table and chair set for my family when we go outdoors for hiking, camping, etc. This table set has satisfied all my requirements. It is very easy to assemble and is sturdy once it is up. I love that we no longer have to hunt for an empty picnic table when we go out that is usually really dirty with bird droppings and bugs and whatever was left over from the last people who used it. Now we can set up our table wherever we want (and get a great view!) and have a clean place to sit and enjoy our meal or to relax and rest. This set holds our family of two adults and two small children very well although I'm sure it would work just as well with 4 adults. I love the extra padding on the benches which make them that much more comfortable. The only small complaint I have is that the table top cannot accommodate all our dishes. It can only hold our plates and cups and a pitcher but that is to be expected with it being compact enough to carry. Overall, I would highly recommend this table set and so far we have been very happy with it.

Sanyo HPS-MC3 3-in-1 Nonstick Electric Multi-Cooker Review

(More customer reviews)I am cheap (Asian), and was not keen on plopping down $100 on this cooker. Totally worth it. I got it after I saw some little old ladies at 99 Ranch buying one!
Cooks hot pot like a CHAMP. I was using a single burner with a divided hot pot pot (lol) on top and I had to boil a separate pot the stove to keep up with demand (feeding 4 adults). No more! This thing is sooo convenient. Super easy to adjust the temperature and it heats up quickly.
Nice safety feature that it has a magnetic power cord, in case someone trips over it or you have kids. It stays on just fine.
Also works great as a steamer.
The finish is conducive to easy cleanup.
The grill part...well, I mean...it's essentially a one-sided George Foreman grill. Nothing too special there--but it is very easy to clean.
Buy it! You know if the old Chinese ladies at 99 Ranch were buying, it HAS to be good.
**Update**
Owned it now for almost a year. Still going strong, still highly recommended. It even saved me through a stove issue (2 weeks for the new part to arrive). There are a lot of things you can make with this cooker, I have to say.

I was very suprised, since I've been careful cleaning it so as not to scratch the teflon, but the teflon is peeling off anyway. So, don't waste your money on this product.

(More customer reviews)Frigidaire range fgef3055kf: I thought this range was the perfect choice, 4 baking racks, easy clean glass top with 4 burners, 2 of them with size small and large, plus a 5th burner for warming, the bottom draw seemed to be made better than most brands ... Well now that we've used it I'm sorry we ever bought it. It's near impossible to keep this black gloss glass clean and streak free, I'm it's the same case with any black glass cook top. If you like things neat and clean this is not a good choice. The convection oven does cut some time off of baking which is nice plus it has the auto convert button but ... the convection as well as using the normal bake feature cooks food differently depending on which rack you have it on. One rack will be perfectly fine while other, although it may look the same they are burned on the bottom. I even checked the book to make sure I was using the proper rack but it did not matter. We are NOT Happy.
