Stansport Cast Iron 20 x 12 Inch Pre-Seasoned Walled Griddle Review

(More customer reviews)Very well made except: too rough & bumpy to use out of the box! and it's not pre-seasoned.
Almost sent it back,but realized it's potential,if sanded & seasoned.
Get out the sander,a dust mask & some sandpaper.(Don't try this in the house!)
Sand it awhile with 80 grit,then change to 120 grit; end with 220 grit....then season it!
I have at least an hour's sanding invested in mine + ~$6 in sandpaper.
Ready for seasoning now.
I figure it's worth the time & effort spent,because it should last a lifetime....unless I drop it on a hard surface!

(More customer reviews)After 3 months of use we can say we are very happy with our new GE range. Everything works great. Power Boil is fast. Looks great. I'm sure we'd be happy with the stand alone model too as I'm sure GE uses the same components in that model...... I'm not sure why this slide in model costs so much more then the stand alone... It is easy to turn on a feature by mistake while cleaning finger prints off of the glass touch control planel... but then it is easy to turn them off or "lock" these touch controls.

12ft Woodhaven Firewood Rack - Black Review

(More customer reviews)Rather than the recommended two wrenches, I used a socket and socket adapter with my portable drill to turn the bolts, and a crescent wrench to hold the nuts in place. Then I made the final tightening with the socket wrench. Not counting taking the parts out of the packaging and reading the directions, it took about 20 minutes to put together. All but one of the holes lined up perfectly. The one that was off, was still open enough to force the bolt through.
Everything appears to be well made. The instructions aren't clear about whether the "feet" should be angled in or out. I have some of both, and it appears to have not made any difference... but it would be better if the instructions indicated one way or the other.
So far, the black vinyl-fabric cover has survived a full New Hampshire winter and summer with no signs of decomposition or wear. However, I strongly recommend to the company that they punch a few grommets on the flap hems so that users can attach compression ("bungie") cords or rope or other method of tying-down the flaps. Just a light breeze lifts them up and off, despite the almost worthless hook-and-loop strips at the ends. I wound up running two tie-down straps completely around the top and bottom after I filled the rack with wood, and that worked.

(More customer reviews)We wanted a dual oven stove without loosing our shirts, and since we already had whirlpool appliances elsewhere, this was a logical choice. I'm glad we went with this version instead of the 5 burner/convection because we dont miss not having those extra features. We both love how the knobs are turned up and away from our kid's little eyeballs, and the best part of the oven is that when you hold the light button down (3 sec's) it locks the gas completely, so even if they did turn the burner knobs no gas can come out! We didnt know it did that when we bought it but we use it all the time. Also we use the little oven daily, but whats really cool is the keep warm feature, because our meals are never timed right so we can keep one thing warm in one oven while the other is finishing the other part of the meal. We got this oven on sale at sear's for 1100, and then got another 100 off by opening a credit card. So for about a grand it was a great deal! FYI - we replaced a slide in oven with this freestanding model and it fits and looks fine.

(More customer reviews)What an applicance!! My house was built in the 60"s and when I bought it in 1972 it came with the original electric cooktop. Gas is sooo much better, for one reason, when you want to adjust the heat you can tell by looking you've done so. And you can get a LOT of heat from the big burner and the small one is so perfect for puddings and sauces. And it is a beautiful appliance to look at. Only the stainless steel comes with the black knobs but you can buy the black knobs seperate and they are very easy to change out and what class it gives your stove. Of course, I guess we would all like to have a wolff or a viking stove but if you can't afford that this is a great stove to go with. I cannot say enough about it. I bought mine at Lowe's but just wanted to let my fellow Amazon
shoppers know this is a fantastic product!!

Whirlpool : GH7208XRB Microwave Review

(More customer reviews)This is a great microwave and I really like the features. Having said that I think a person could get a similar microwave for much less money. Prior to purchasing this I wondered what the steamer and sizzler was as there was not much information on these features. Turns out they are just a special dish. These two features certainly do not justify the several hundred dollars more than a typical microwave/convection. I have had the microwave three months now and have not even used either of the "special" vessels. The fan works very well and is very powerful. It stays on all the time during convection and sounds similar to a small jet airplane. Works great and it sounds like it should the socks off your feet. Overall I like the microwave/convection but would have bought a less expensive model knowing what I do now.
Just updating my review of this product. After a few months, the fan started vibrating producing an annoying noise. I wedged piece of wood next to the fan shroud to keep it from vibrating. Also wanted to note that November of 08 this microwave went out and no longer works. I am very disappointed in this product. I would also like to note that we are now using our nearly 30 year old Sharp microwave convection. We will be replacing the Whirlpool with a Kenmore or Sharp microwave/convection. Whirlpool products will not be part of my home in the future.
