When you try to adjust the heater up or down it doesn`t respond.
I am happy with it tho the fire is nice , I just change the heater manually.

I bought this particular model and it is beautiful. The gel fuel works well. You can't tell the fireplace is fake. I am extremely happy with it. It really made my downstairs very cozy!

Two reasons why I didn't give it 5 stars; it's a little short so we are making a base for it, and the canisters have a somewhat unpleasant smell which bugs me but not my husband. It was very easy to assemble except there are three hole in the front which I am not sure what they are for, but you can't really see them. The color matches my existing furniture perfectly.
