Heavy Gauge BBQ Grill Cover up to 84" Long Review

Heavy Gauge BBQ Grill Cover up to 84 Long

I have an odd shaped grill that fit this length and this was the only thing I could find anywhere to fit it. I knew this would not fit perfectly based on their photo. Because my actual grill is off-center it doesn't sit properly because of its shape, but it covers & protects my grill. This is obviously perfect for a grill that is on center, but mine still reaches to the floor and the color is appealing unlike the standard black vinyl covers. My only other option was to go custom which i wasn't about to do since this was so affordable.

Farberware Classic Yosemite 8-Cup Stainless Steel Percolator Review

Farberware Classic Yosemite 8-Cup Stainless Steel Percolator
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought the Farberware Classic Yosemite 8-Cup Stainless Steel Percolator after battling with several automatic-drip coffee makers. All I wanted was a hot cup of coffee! Now that I have given up on automatic-drip coffee makers and chosen to use a percolator, a relic from childhood, I enjoy a piping hot cup of coffee every day, as opposed to lukewarm brown water. This percolater is easy to use, cleanup is easy, my coffee tastes better, and the wonderful smell permeates my kitchen as it perks. Why automatic-drip coffee makers ever came to be is beyond me. Another example of the old adage, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Cuisinart CDF-100 Compact 1.1-Liter Deep Fryer, Brushed Stainless Steel Review

Cuisinart CDF-100 Compact 1.1-Liter Deep Fryer, Brushed Stainless Steel

Wow, I'm a big fan of fried foods, homemade french fries especially fried in Canola Oil. I've used industrial restaurant sized fryers and worked from a stove top. This little puppy is probably one of the best little friers I've ever seen.
Most of the negative view of this fryer can be solved by simply reading the instruction booklet. Number one complaint, the cord falls off. Well yes it does, and that is by design. The cord is held into it's socket on the fryer side with a magnet. This is so you can unplug the unit without pulling the fryer over and burning yourself with hot oil. It's a common mistake, thinking the cord is broken. If you plug this in, attach the magnet end and don't move the frier, it will not come unplugged.
Number two complaint, the basket is flimsy and falls over itself. It does not do that if you install the handle correctly. You have to squeeze the two sides and slip the pins into two holes and under a tab - the handle will never ever move in this position.
Here's what I love about this appliance, it uses a small amount of oil - around a quart / liter. We don't have fried foods very often, and I don't cook a whole chicken at once. It's just perfect for those side dishes - appetizer mozzarella sticks, egg rolls, jalapeno poppers, etc. You can do chicken fingers, fish sticks, donuts in here. Food cooks evenly and quickly. Heat up time is around 3 or 4 minutes. Cooking time varies a lot, but can be around 3 or 4 minutes.
The cover is ingeneous - it closes down tight around the top and the basket so no splashing of oil happens. Cook on the counter top with no fear of splashing oil everywhere. The carbon filter shouldn't be cleaned every use, and it prevents splashes from coming out of the lid. The clear window, can see that oil will cloud that up over time, but it's handy to see inside.
Frankly, I love this unit. It's well built, solid construction, feels good in use. Cuisinart built a good small fryer in this unit.

Easily make fried chicken, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, or doughnuts with this deep fryer from Cuisinart. By filling to the maximum oil capacity of 1.1 liters, the unit's extra-wide fry basket can accommodate batches up to 3/4 of a pound. Food items float freely for crispy, even cooking, and the fryer's nonstick die-cast frying bowl includes an attached heating element to maintain selected oil temperatures for restaurant-quality results. The deep fryer's removable fry basket rests on the basket clip to allow fried foods to drain and cool so there's no excess, clinging oil. For healthier cooking, it fries more food using less oil than most conventional fryers. Other highlights include a removable charcoal filter to trap odors when frying and a dishwasher-safe lid, fry basket, and basket handle for quick cleanup. Housed in brushed stainless steel, the space-saving deep fryer measures 11-1/4 by 8-1/4 by 7-2/5 inches and carries a three-year limited warranty.

CorningWare French White 23-Ounce Oval Dish Review

CorningWare French White 23-Ounce Oval Dish

I have about 6 of these made of the original Corning pyroceramic and we use them all the time to reheat foods. However, these as shown are not the "real thing."
The original "French White" Corningware was made of Corning's famous pyroceramic glass, which could be used on the gas stove, put directly in the freezer, put under the broiler right from the freezer, and oh yes, also used in a microwave. And it was very unlikely to shatter if dropped. If you pounded on it with a hammer and nail you might have gotten it to break.
When World Kitchens bought the license from Corning, they decided to halt production of a line of cookware that would take anything and last forever, and dupe customers, especially brides, into thinking the stoneware "French White" was the same thing as the wonderful French White pyroceramic cookware previously available to their mothers and sisters.
The pattern is very attractive and can be used with any decor, and they do offer many sizes, but this stuff is not, repeat, really not, what people mean when they say "Corningware."
Le Creuset can do most of the above mentioned, but it being metal you cannot use it in the microwave. Stoneware cannot go on top of the stove, and repeated trips from the freezer to the oven or microwave, which you are likely to do with these little dishes, will eventually cause it to craze and crack. And stoneware will also chip, and break if dropped, etc. Pyrex glassware cannot go on the gas stove although you can take it from the freezer to the oven, and also microwave it.
The only product which could do anything was pyroceramic, and World Kitchens has chosen to remove it from the market because it is "too good."
They have recently brought back a few of the old square shapes, with the Cornflower, or plain white, calling it "vintage," but the French White shape is not making an appearance yet. If you want it, email them and ask for it!
Meanwhile, don't buy this stuff. Get Le Creuset for cooking and roasting (yes it is expensive but it lasts forever and cooks beautifully), and reheat things in Pyrex in the microwave.
