(More customer reviews)I got this to supplement my Calphalon Professional square grill. I use this one when preparing barbecue with high sugar marinades and sauces.
First of all, unlike a lot of nonstick pans, you can get this grill very hot. This produces authentic looking grill marks and that sought after smoky taste. However, even the stickiest, most burned on remnants come off with a soak and a wipe.
I also use this pan to grill more delicate, crumbly meats like hamburgers, crab cakes, and fillets of fish. These may still crumble, but at least it won't be the pans fault. For plain grilling of steaks and chops, I still prefer hot, bare metal to nonstick.
The best thing about this pan, though, is the price. 50 bucks is very reasonable for a professional piece of cookware. It's also important to note that Calphalon nonstick grills are top rated by Cook's Illustrated magazine.

(More customer reviews)I agree with the other reviews on the quality, beauty etc. I will concentrate my review on the size of this pot as I had a lot of trouble deciding on size when I was making my purchase.
Le Creusets are good at many things but IMHO the biggest reason for getting one is for its ability to cook gently and slowly over a longer period of time. This lets the flavors of your dish mix together beautifully and I have found more dimensions of taste when I cook this way. It's also very good for searing meats and then slowly cooking it until it literally falls off the bone. So the reason I got a Le Creuset oven is to make stews, pasta sauces, soups, and roasts.
The 6.75 quart, oval oven fulfilled my needs perfectly and I have found this size and shape to be quite versatile. I cook for just my husband and myself, but like many people today we both work so I like to make larger portions and freeze half. This pot will fit a double or even a triple recipe for spaghetti sauces and the like. The oval shape allows a rectangular roast or whole chicken or two smaller hens to fit inside. If you're having friends over for dinner and want to make a bigger roast for 4-8 people, chili for a crowd, etc., this is the perfect size to have.
Some people had told me to get a round one if I do mostly stove top cooking, in order to have more even heat distribution from the round burner. I have found that the heat distributes very evenly on the oval shape, so I prefer the oval because it is a better shape for roasts.
Assuming you already have other pots and pans, and are looking to finally add a Le Creuset to your kitchen, IMO this is a very good size/shape to have.

All-Clad LTD 12-Inch Round Nonstick Grille Pan Review

(More customer reviews)I am not a big fan of the All Clad LTD line but I do love this pan. I much prefer the All Clad polished stainless steel line (I have almost every piece and love it). This grill is a perfect size for grilling for 1-4 people. I debated on the grande size, I decided that since I don't grill everyday it didn't make sense to spend the extra money and deal with storing the larger size. Also, I selected the round style over the square, my stove burners are round so I figured that the round style made more sense for me.
I often marinade chicken tenders in Emeril Lagasse's marinade (he has several different marinades that you can find in your local supermarket) a day in advance and heat up this pan and toss on the chicken. I usually make a veggie or two and some rice, it is a very quick and easy dinner and is also very healthy! You can also use this pan for everything from burgers to a tuna steak.
This pan is not dishwasher safe due to the nonstick surface, but don't worry it is a breeze to clean. I have the George Foreman grill that has been sitting in the cabinet collecting dust since I bought this pan. I don't like the George Foreman grill because you can't really wash the grill surface very well. The grill surface should be removable so you can really clean it. This pan is very, very well made and is backed by a lifetime warranty. Sometimes this pan is sold as a special..., if you see it grab it. It is a steal at that price. Once you try All Clad you will be hooked too! Highly recommended! A+!
