(More customer reviews)The Amazon description of this says it is suitable for "any cooking surface," without any restrictions, and the Sitram Web site specifically says "induction ready." So to be sure I e-mailed Sitram, and they assured me that it was indeed induction ready. Well, it is not. Aluminum and stainless steel, without the ferromagnetic material needed to work on an induction cooktop. Amazon did not explicitly misrepresent it, but Sitram did. If that doesn't matter to you, it looks like a fine pan. If it does matter, be warned not to believe what you read.

Anolon Advanced Hard Anodized Nonstick 14-Inch Covered Wok with Glass Lid Review

(More customer reviews)I have done about a dozen meals in this wok now. It cleans very easily, and has cooked some wonderful meals. I have read the manual, which is fine. I use an electric stove, and have found that I need to use a higher temperature than the manufacturer recommends in order to get the wok to perform as desired. I use a medium-high heat.
In general, the wok heats nicely and keeps food warm if you have to wait. The non-stick surface works very well. The food does not stay on the sides and has the tendency to slide down, but the cleaning of the wok afterwards is a snap. I don't believe you will find a nicer wok in this price range. To get a nicer wok you will have to go to china town, etc...
I have big hands and I find the handles a tiny bit small. I am 6'5" tall. The lid keeps the steam in, but be careful when tilting the lid as it will let all the water drop at once. The glass at the top of the lid is nice in theory, but it fogs with water droplets, so you really can't view once the lid is on. I use a hot pad when removing the lid because the metal part of the handle does get hot.

(More customer reviews)I use this wok on an electric range. I find it works well provided I turn the heat all the way up to high on a big burner. The problem, of course, is electric stoves, not the wok. As far as cooking goes it is great. As long as it is well heated before you start nothing sticks, the bottom heats evenly, and with a little bit of stainless steel polish it stays looking good as new. My one complaint is that a wok really needs a good lid for simmering sauces. This one does not include a lid, and I have not yet found anything that I can use for one.

(More customer reviews)This pan, like all the Cuisinart pans, is my favorite to use when I need a 12" skillet. It's a heavy-duty even-heating pan like it's "sisters and brothers"! If you already have any Chef's Classic pots or pans, the lid that fits on any pan with item number ending in 30 will fit on this pan. (Item number is on the bottom). With all the Chef's Classic pans, you usually don't have to turn the heat up as high as a cheapy pan; instead of high, use medium-high, for example. Since this does not have a non-stick coating, you'll often need oil for cooking. Here's a tip: hot pan, cold oil. Let the pan heat up before adding the oil. Also, these pans heat up FAST so watch your food! If anything gets burned-on badly, the pans just need a little soaking (maybe an hour, not overnight). Or, add water to the pan and "boil" the burned-on food off. I also use Barkeepers Friend cleaner to keep them shiny and looking new! Take note: if you've ever purchased a set of Cuisinart from a discount warehouse (i.e. Sam's Club, Cosco) there are not individual pans available that will match your set exactly. I called Cuisinart and found out that particular pan style is available only in sets from discount warehouses. BUT, the Chef's Classic line matches very closely, it's the closest match available.

I purchased this Cusinart Stainless 14 inch stir fry. It is a great pan. It is good looking, large so you can cook a lot of food in it. It is extremely easy to clean. It comes with a nice glass lid. It is also light weight. I own the set of Cuisnart Stainless Cookware that I bought last year on Amazon. I am very happy with the set. This wok pan is an excellent value, you simply will not find a good quality wok at this price. Buy It!!
