Glass Tea Pot Gift Set - Tempered Glass w/Infuser and Cups in Elegant Box Review

Glass Tea Pot Gift Set - Tempered Glass w/Infuser and Cups in Elegant Box

The glasses appear durable, but I won't put them in the dishwasher. You should wash them right after use and not leave in the sink with other dishes as they may crack and the slightest crack renders then useless. I have some other glasses and tea pots, and this one seems a little lower quality that the ones made by Purilina. But the set is nice when you have a guest over for tea.

Bodum Naoko Stainless-Steel 32-Ounce Teapot Review

Bodum Naoko Stainless-Steel 32-Ounce Teapot
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I absolutely love my bodum teapot. It was a wedding gift, and it makes wonderful tea. I don't know why the other reviewer has a problem with the design - I don't have any problems getting the hot water from my tea kettle into the pot. One of my favorite elements is the removable infuser basket. My other teapot doesn't have this feature and some batches of tea end up being bitter from the tea leaves you can't as easily remove; again, a great feature on the bodum. And, even though my Mother makes fun of what she calls my "Aladdin's Lamp" teapot, I get more compliments from people who come over and see it as I have it on display in my kitchen. I don't see any reason to hide it away in a cupboard. It is also very easy to clean. In regard to the other reviewer's comment about putting the pot on the stove, DON'T! It is a tea-pot... not a tea-kettle. I'm sure most of you know this, but just wanted to clarify.

Straight out of the Aladdin folk tale comes Bodum's Naoko stainless-steel teapot, which pays tribute to the genie lamps of early fantasy literature. The Naoko teapot features an exotically curved handle coupled with a pointed spout. The elixir that pours from the pot, however, is genie-free, and takes its flavor instead from such favorites as classic Darjeeling, floral oolong, or gunpowder teas. The pot, which makes a unique conversation piece, employs a removable stainless-steel infuser basket for steeping. Once the tea brews for the recommended or preferred time, the user merely removes the basket, replaces the lid, and pours. The pot holds approximately 32 ounces of beverage, enough for four 8-ounce cups of tea, and measures 6-1/2 by 8 by 10-1/2 inches (W x H x D).

Black Antique Coin Cast Iron Tetsubin Tea Pot Kettle Set (w/ Trivet) Review

Black Antique Coin Cast Iron Tetsubin Tea Pot Kettle Set (w/ Trivet)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I picked one of these from the Japanese House at Disney World's Epcot Center. I had a ceramic set for a couple of years already and wanted a second set for the office. So far, it hasn't disappointed. The set is solid, heavy, cast iron with a nice coating. No rust, so far and it should stay rust-free for as long as you don't scratch the coating. Needless to say, it hasn't passed unnoticed at the office and I already know someone who ordered one of these after sharing a cup of white tea.
I am using it for brewing white tea Revolution Tea White Chai Tea, Organic, 15-Count Pyramid Teabags (Pack of 6). My boss, who lives in Oxford, England and is a life-long tea drinker became an instant convert to both white tea and to using this pot. The little iron cups can get quite hot if you pour hot tea in them (watch out) but they look cool and you should not end up with burned lips if you are reasonably careful.

Black Antique Coin Design Cast Iron Tetsubin Tea Set-Designed by "Rikyu"-Holds up to approximately 20 Fl. Oz. of Tea!-Inner Surface of the teapot and teacup is coated with black enamel. With proper care, this set shall last over generations. This set includes an Iron Teapot (Kettle), Two Iron Teacups, One Stainless Steel Mesh Tea Strainer, w/Trivet; all inside a tan box making this set an excellent gift.Tetsubin or cast iron pots were first used throughout Japan as kettles to boil water over an open fire and were usually hung above a hearth to also provide heat and humidity in cold weather. In the mid 19th century, as infused teas such as Sencha became popular, brewing and serving the tea to friends and family in a tetsubin also became very popular.Benefits of Cast Iron Cookware:Cast iron ware is a boon for cooks since it heats evenly, retains heat well and lasts forever. It yields important health benefits, too! Iron-deficient diets are all too common these days and foods or liquids cooked in cast iron ware provide significant traces of this essential mineral.Long Term Care and Use (we recommend that you care for your tetsubin by following these guidelines): *Before first use, rinse your teapot several times with boiling water. But no soap!*Use the tetsubin to brew tea, not as a stove-top kettle.*Do not leave tea standing in the tetsubin for a long period of time. Dry both inside and outside of teapot completely 100% before storing or putting away otherwise it will rust.*Do not wash the tetsubin with abrasive pads or use harsh detergents or soaps. Simply rinse it with plain water and wipe it dry after each use. In Japan the natural mineral layer buildup inside a tetsubin is considered to be good for the health and helps to prevent rust from forming inside.*Do not expose your kettle or teapot to salt or oil.By following these guidelines your tetsubin will provide many years of enjoyment!

Bodum Assam 17-Ounce Cast-Iron Tea Press with Stainless Steel Filter Review

Bodum Assam 17-Ounce Cast-Iron Tea Press with Stainless Steel Filter
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is just the right size for one person (or even two). It makes about three teacups at a time. Bodum's system for controlling the brewing of tea is the best that I've found. After you push the plunger down, no further increase in strength of the tea can occur. I've used their all glass versions of the teapot for many years. I like this one best because of its all metal construction. It is important to preheat the heavy cast iron pot with a preliminary partial filling of near boiling water. But, with all that thermal mass, the tea stays much hotter for a longer time.

The BODUM Assam cast iron tea press is both a functional and artful item for the tea table. The cast iron tea press combines the old Japanese tradition of enjoying tea in a tetsubin style teapot with BODUM's proven tea press system. The Assam shape is reminiscent of the traditional English tea pots, whereas the cast iron material and its texture create the relaxing feeling of participating in a Japanese tea ceremony, a purifying bath of the six senses.Cast iron was used not only to convey the Asian style, but because of its brilliant qualities to preserve heat and therefore the consistent quality of the tea within. To create the distinctive Assam bowl shape, two iron cast parts are fused together. The knob pattern (Arare) surrounding the exterior of the pot contains the same amount of knobs in the first and last row. The inside is lined with a smooth, durable vitreous coating of enamel to prevent the iron from deterioration. If properly cared for, the cast iron teapot will last more than a lifetime. The Assam cast iron tea press should be hand washed and never placed directly on the stove or open heat source.Brewing loose-leaf tea is easy with the Assam.Simple add your favorite black, green, herbal, or white tea to the infuser.Pour hot water over the tea, filling the pot.Allow the tea to brew to your liking and then press. The patented press system separates the tea leaves from the water, completely stopping the brewing process and eliminating bitter tea. This means that you can enjoy your tea over time while resting assured that your first cup and third cup will taste the same. The Assam 4 Cup Tea Press serves 4 4 oz cups.

Rosseto Japanese Style Cast Iron Teapot 16-Ounce, Green Review

Rosseto Japanese Style Cast Iron Teapot 16-Ounce, Green
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I received this teapot as a gift, and I love it! The design is awesome, and being cast iron it holds the 2nd cup of tea hot while you drink the 1st. The only thing is that filling it full does cause water to fill up the spout, so be careful if you are moving it when it's full so it doesn't spill out and burn you.

Long recognized for producing functional and attractive serving products for the home, hotels, and beyond, Rosseto takes service in a new direction as it ventures into the Japanese tradition of tea service. The unique 16-ounce teapot from the new A Tea Affair collection not only offers a striking Japanese-style design, durable construction, and top-notch insulation; it also encourages people to ditch those wasteful, individually-packaged teabags by adopting the greener and ancient practice of steeping loose tea leaves in a reusable straining basket. The result is an environmentally friendly tea-drinking experience with richer flavor.
Built for individual service, the teapot benefits from a sturdy cast-iron exterior and an interior of nonporous, corrosion-resistant stainless steel. This combo ensures steaming tea for hours. A stainless-steel mesh straining basket nests inside and removes for cleaning. The striking design of the teapot compliments its smart construction. A black grainy motif adds texture to the green teapot's body and lid. The upper portion of the teapot's body displays a series of black curved lines that stem from either side of the spout. The lines gradually fan further apart as they circle to the opposite end of the teapot before they close in together upon reaching the spout again. The teapot's spout shares the main body's texture despite its contrasting black hue. A sleek and sturdy black handle allows one to carry the pot and pour with ease. Additional pieces in this collection include a variety of 10-ounce and 18.6-ounce teapots in varied colors and design schemes. Handwash the teapot and strainer with a mild detergent. Covered by a 30-day warranty for construction defects, the 6-1/2-by-6-1/2-by-2-1/2-inch teapot weighs 1 pound upon shipping.

Clear Glass Teapot with Infuser - Glass Teapots Review

Clear Glass Teapot with Infuser - Glass Teapots
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
It's a little smaller than I expected it to be for the price, but it's a very lovely teapot. The basket it came with is well made, and both the scoop and trivet are also a pretty wood (bamboo, I think) and well made. The spout of the teapot is hard to clean without some sort of tool or pipe cleaner. It's a little too small to get a sponge in there, so I've already got a bit of leftover tea buildup just inside the spout. I use this teapot every day at work, and it's held up well. My only complaint besides the hard to clean part is that it's not insulated, so the tea gets cold relatively quickly. This is a wonderful teapot for about 3 full cups of tea, and it shows off blooming tea very well.

Click Here to see more reviews about: Clear Glass Teapot with Infuser - Glass Teapots

This 33.8 ounce glass teapot is made of borosilicate laboratory glass that holds heat longer than regular glass and the stainless steel mesh infuser contains the tea leaves while brewing and removes easily so you don't overstep your tea. Also included are a sturdy bamboo trivet to protect your tabletop, desk or tea party tray and a bamboo tea scoop - ideal for scooping loose leaf tea as it causes less breakage of the tea leaves. This sturdy teapot and teapot infuser are dishwasher safe and sturdy enough to use every day - great for home use and a welcome gift for the tea lover in your life. Always fill the teapot with hot water boiled in a separate kettle. Teapot is NOT TO BE USED ON A STOVETOP OR OPEN FLAME. Bamboo scoop and trivet are not dishwasher safe, wash them gently by hand with mild soap and warm water.

This tea pot meets all my expectations and then some. It pours cleanly with not one drip. The infuser is all metal so there is no plastic to add a taste or to wear out. It keeps the tea perfectly hot with little or no cooldown for a good half hour or more. Add a tea cozy and it will be hot for you for hours, I bet. The lid fits tight enough so there is no fear of it falling out while you pour and yet is easy to remove when needed. The handle stays cool to the touch and is the perfect size and shape to feel secure while you hold it to pour. Best of all... it is a pleasingly shaped pot to look at and to hold.

tea pot Review

tea pot
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I just used my new tea pot this morning and am satisfied with the purchase. Reasons: It seems to be well made; it has a nice design, and is practical for my use. I get up about 4 am and the tea pot with the beautiful color of the liquid looks great on the solid glass tea warmer glowing in the dark! (I purchased the Northwest Glass heavy glass warmer). The included glass infuser allows me to see the tea leaves and the slats (great concept instead of holes that allow tea leaves through - UPDATE BELOW) that allow brewing are located around the lower sides. That means that after brewing and using a full pot, I can add a small amount of additional water and have more tea. This is something important to consider when purchasing a tea pot....if the infuser does not sit low enough in the pot, you must use a lot of water before the tea can steep. This pot is good for about 20 ounces of tea. You can't fill it to the stated 24 ounce capacity or the liquid will spill from the spout (and I'm assuming by "3 cups" they mean 3 eight ounce cups). I purchased the tea warmer also which I reviewed under that item. There is just one thing that could have been better designed....when pouring the last drop you must keep your finger on the lid because it is not designed to stay on without holding it. But the pot is designed in a way where most of the liquid pours out easily, the beautifully curved spout does not drip, and you only have to hold the top for the last few drops.
UPDATE: Now that I have used this teapot daily, I have learned that gallons of water are probably being used to clean the glass infuser!!! The tea leaves get stuck in the glass slats. I have a sprayer on my sink and I end up getting water all over just trying to spray the inside and outside of the slats to loosen the tea leaves. If you don't like to spend a lot of time cleaning (and using a lot of water) then this will not work for you. The pot itself is really nice.

Because there is a glass tea infuser included, there's no need for messy tea balls or separate metal strainers. The infuser is great for loose teas but can also be removed for flower tea buds.great for warming and brewing all types of tea. A wire grid is included for use on electric stoves, but is not required for gas stoves. Use medium to medium high heat. Dishwasher and microwave safe. Excellent taiwan quality.

Turkish style double kettles are very hard to find both online and in stores. Break out of the old tea routine by owning a double kettle. Directions for using the double kettle to make Turkish black tea:To make the Turkish black tea like the Turks do you will need two kettles of different sizes: a big and a small one. The big kettle must be made of metal and the small one can be made of metal or ceramic.(in this case, ours is 18/10 stainless steel)First fill with water the big kettle and place it at the stove. Then put the small kettle above the big kettle. At the small kettle put black tea (the measure of black tea is a dessert spoon for each person). Light the stove. While the water is boiling in the big kettle the second small kettle will also be warmed. Please notice that the small kettle contains only black tea and it does not contain water. After the water boiled, you should put this water on the small kettle where there you have the black tea. (The measure of the water is relative to the number of persons who will drink the tea. For example, if just two people wants to drink tea you should add a little bit of water, if there are more people you must put more water). Now you must wait 15 minutes more or less, this is necessary so that the tea can cook. You will see that after 15 minutes the tea stays in the bottom of the kettle, this means that the tea can be served.Note: They can also be used as two separate tea kettles. Both come with their own lids when not stacking for all-in-one use. Like getting two tea kettles for one price. An excellent value! * Beautiful, unique design. An interesting conversation piece in your kitchen.

KitchenAid Porcelain Enamel on Steel Curling Teakettles Review

KitchenAid Porcelain Enamel on Steel Curling Teakettles
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought the smaller version of this tea kettle, the 1.5 quart. It's a pretty red color (darker than it appears in the picture) and I love it's sleek design that seems almost art-deco or maybe mid-century modern. It looks stylish sitting on top of my stove. And that's good, since I always keep it out since I drink so much tea. And nothing seems quite as homey as a kettle on the stove, as far as I'm concerned. However, that is where the love affair ends. My kettle is completely non-whistling. That means I have to stand in front of the stove to make sure I'm there to turn off the heat when the water boils. This is inconvenient in the mornings when I am in a rush and trying to do several things at once. Also, the box clearly declares "strong, loud whistle". No, absolute silence for mine. My other issue with the kettle is that it pours sloppy. This leaves me with a steaming hot puddle to wipe up on my counter most mornings. Another issue is that there should be some kind of button release or something for the lid. It's stiff and sticks, so you have to really tug to pull it off. This means that a lot of times when it comes to refilling, I end up smashing my fingers on the underside of the handle. Yeah, I love it's looks, but I'm going to need to find another tea kettle that actually does what it promises.

Ok....so I didn't order this teakettle for a long, LONG time because reviewers were saying that it didn't whistle. I thought it didn't make any noise at all. But, I loved its looks so I decided to order it anyway. The yellow color is a buttery yellow. The kettle is good and heavy and the enamel seems to be thick and evenly applied. But the sound....the sound is SO cool! It doesn't whistle like your Grandma's teakettle but it does make a sound. It starts out low and gets louder the longer it boils. It is a low and deep sound like a warning siren. You'll never have to worry about your kettle boiling dry. This kettle will alert you in plenty of time. I'm really enjoying the whole item from shape to color to sound.
