(More customer reviews)This ceramic hot-plate looks the part, and I cannot denny that it works very well, but it provides no more heat than a standard coiled hot-plate, and in fact when turned to the larger 1500W heating setting (larger diameter), the outer rings do not heat up to the same degree as the inner rings. This creates center heat zones in any pots or pans over 8" in diameter, and is very noticeable in pots 10" and larger... The unit also cycles on and off, to stabilize temperature, but sometimes when you are shooting for high heat levels it can be very frustrating...! After a year of use, the markings (indicating temperature settings) around the dial have started to wear off, and the ceramic top element is very hard to clean, even with the specialized ceramic cooktop cleaners on the market. Good amounts of elbow grease are required to keep this puppy clean! Overall, this unit looks the part when cleaned--impressive. However it's German made guts really are no better than a $17.95 basic hot-plate in terms of performance. If you need something modern looking and impressive--and are willing to scrub and work to keep it clean--this unit will work well. For most it's just too expensive for its level of lackluster performance, and you should look at more reasonably priced units.

(More customer reviews)I bought two of these and spent almost $700 and I am VERY DISSAPOINTED with their performance. You can't even feel the heat unless you are about a foot away from the unit. I live in California where it doesn't really get that cold in the winter but I was interested in saving money on my heating bill and this thing won't even heat my bedroom. The mantle is oak plywood, not solid oak as advertised. The only good thing about them is that they look nice. The Amish are being used as a marketing tool to sell these fireplaces. All of the parts come from China and are assembled by Amish in Ohio, so don't expect good Amish craftsmanship because you won't get it with a Heat Surge Electric Fireplace.

LG LRE3091SW 30 Freestanding Electric Range - White Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this stove after my Whirlpool stove failed after six months of use. I studied a lot of models, stayed away from anything made or OEM'ed by Whirlpool, and settled on this model. I was a little hesitant about buying a stove that wasn't from a bog box appliance store, but no one had them in stock locally.
The stove arrived approximately 4 days later on a palette, wrapped in styrofoam, cardboard and plastic. Not a scratch on it, I moved in into the spot formerly occupied by the Whirlpool and attached the stove plug to it (sold separately). I fired up the stove and noticed several differences compared to my old stove.
The first is a more even heating surface. The ring of coils heat up very quickly, and apply a very even heat to all of the pan, so that everything cooks at the same rate. This seems like it should be a standard feature, but the previous stove would have hot spots on the burner that cooked parts faster than other parts.
Second is the large oven space. I can get two baking pans side by side, which is important when it comes to making TV dinners for a family of 8. It also has a brilliant blue color on the inside, which just makes the inside of the stove cleaner looking.
Third, my electrical usage on the stove has gone down, again compared to the previous model.
I did have a concern about a clicking noise that I heard and called for warrant repair just to check it. They came out in a day or two and checked in, and the noise (not very audible) is normal. It's the heating coils getting up to temperature.
Overall, I'm very pleased with the purchase and even more comfortable buying big appliances on Amazon.

(More customer reviews)This is a beautiful tea kettle, like a work of art on your stove. I had purchased one of these several years ago (I think from Costco) and had a love/hate relationship with it. My biggest complaint was that the handle gets very hot, hot enough to where you really should use a pot holder to pick it up. I also didn't like that you needed two hands--one to remove the whistler before pouring. And the whistler was a pain sometimes to put on the spout because if it isn't aligned just right, it doesn't snap in. The plus about this kettle (still talking about the first one I owned) was the high handle. We use purified water for our hot beverages and fill up the tea kettle from a large jug with a spout. It fit easily under the spout and I never even thought about it. So after several years, I saw another tea kettle at Costco that had a silicone-coated handle and a lever for lifting up the whistle. (More customer reviews)Okay, we bought it for looks (blue oven interior) and that is never a wise thing but we did due diligence in consumer reports before we bought it. Their only issue was something about uneven convection.
First the good. It looks great. The blue of the oven matches the color theme of our kitchen. Despite what consumer reports said and other reviewers I found the convection oven to be fantastic. Food cooks fast and evenly. It is a massive improvement over my previous low end stove.
Now the bad. The touch controls are just stupid. Why are they there when a traditional knob would work much better for the stove top. I also feel like I am wearing it out every time I use it. But I knew about those controls going in so I can't really fault them on that one.
My real complaint is temperature control on the stove top. If I use the left burners they are noticeable hotter than the right burners so much so that I burnt things when frying for a few months and I actually move things around whenever I have to boil water in a hurry and the left burners are already busy. You would think that quality control would have been able to pick up on this problem very easily. Consumer reports supposedly checks this aspect of stove tops so maybe I got unlucky but my guess is that it is a common problem.
Anyway, love the blue oven.

We also purchased an 8" from the same seller, and they were the first items I received amidst my Amazon order of over 10 items - super fast shipping. (More customer reviews)The picture shows 2 wires coming out of the ignitor and a plug on one of the wires which have another wire coming out of the other side of that plug; exactly what i have in my oven. However, the part i got had 2 wires coming out of the ignitor and both wires were connected to the same plug...so i had to cut one of the wires and attach a wire connector to it, besides consuming 5 mins of my life that i'll never get back, it was not a problem at all..lol... price of the item was good and it got the oven working, so thats why i give this 5 stars, plus.... i asked around in those places that service stoves and all that to see how much would it cost for them to order the part and they said $60.00... i saved myself $30.00 and spent it at Hooters...! it was worth it...! lol
