(More customer reviews)I've owned this kettle for about a year and a half. Enamel will rust even with the best of care. I had hopes because of Le Creuset's quality it would last for years. I would not recommend this product.

There are two advantages a whistling kettle has over its silent relatives. One, when your water is hot you'll know right away, making your time and your use of energy more efficient. Two, you aren't as likely to leave a kettle on the stove to boil dry - damaging the kettle and creating a safety hazard. Fans of Le Creuset will love the bold coloration and traditional French styling of this kettle as well.

The key is not to overheat it (never over medium high) and to always hand wash. I cook a lot and am currently writing a cookbook, so I know what I like and what works for me. Circulon works great! This pot is also a wonderful size - not to large, not too small- a great starter piece if you want to try Circulon without making a big investment.

Heuck 33062 Porcelain Enamel Cast Iron 3 Piece Skillet Set, Red Review

(More customer reviews)I was so excited to get this since it was so affordable, I thought! But you get what you pay for! This smelled like enamel, so I don't know what type they use. It didn't smell completely safe, though! It looks like only one layer of enamel and you can see the metal through it with imperfections in the iron peaking though. The edges are rough and uneven. I bought one 11" Lodge enamel pan for about the same price as this and it was worth that and more! The Lodge has excellent quality!

Range Kleen 2 Shelf Wall Mount Red Pot Rack Review

(More customer reviews)This Pot rack was on sale when I purchased it, and I am very happy with the look and size of this item. It now does what a pot rack should, but I had to modify it a bit to get it to work properly. I hung less than half of the maximum weight initially with less than satisfactory results.
First, you need to use a set of channel locks or a vise grip with a towel to tighten the screws with the decorative ends that hold the frame together. If you hand tighten these, it will sag on the wall when you hang it.
Second, the pot rack comes with three pitiful screws and wall anchors. The directions state that with these you can hang no more than 30 lbs. It has only one screw in the top, and even though the rack was held in place, it would bend at the top pulling away from the wall. I drilled two more holes in the top bracket and used better screws and anchors than what were originally provided. Now I have no problems!

I'm happy to report that this first Multiclad of mine performs similarly: boils quicker than regular pots with minimal hot spots, and cleans easily. [...]
Instead of going cheap or being a complete All-Clad copy cat, Cuisinart decided to throw in some improvements:
- Longer side and lid handles for cooler handling
- Brushed finish on exterior that goes about 3/4 of the way up hides scuffs
- Impeccable finish. Can't say the same for an All-Clad sauté pan which I payed full price for :(
- Better quality stainless steel? Maybe I just got a good batch, but the luster seems to suggest higher chrome content
Great offering Cuisinart! Keep up the quality and continue to be cost competitive vs. All-Clad and I will be back to supplement my cookware collection with Multiclad individual pieces. And BTW, this 6 quart is indispensable if you are cooking for 3-4 people.

Norpro KRONA 8 Cup Multi Pot with Straining Lid Review

(More customer reviews)I had been looking everywhere for a pot like this. My son lives in Germany and has one almost like it (without lid). It is used every day. I tried to find one in Germany, and so far have brought 2 home. Neither have been exactly what I wanted. I have also looked for this in many department and kitchen stores - no luck. I found the same Multi-Pot on another web site without the lid and at twice the price before I found this one. (I ordered 2 from that site because I was so excited). When I found this one on the Amazon site, I ordered 2 more, then I ordered another 2 for wedding presents. This is a stainless steel pot with a bottom that distributes the heat evenly so you don't get the hot-spotting that can occur with just stainless steel. The pot is a good weight and the handle is sturdy and does not wobble when the pot is filled with water - a problem I encountered with one of my German pots. I use the pot to heat up water, make sauces, hard or soft cook eggs, cook vegetables, and for many other things. The more I use this pot, the better I like it. The straining lid was an added bonus. I do clean the pot and lid by hand, and do notice that water sometimes stands under the hardware of the handle, taking a while for the lid to dry. Aside from that, this is really a neat little pot and, I keep finding new uses for it every day. Measuring lines are etched on the inside of the pot. Try it - you really can't lose at this price.

I can brown 5 chicken breasts at once in this pot, it also reduces liquids quickly. This dish is built to last... heavy, sturdy construction. I will have it for my lifetime and I have no doubt that my children or even grandchildren will use it too!

(More customer reviews)Yes, it's big, but I didn't think it was heavy. ***I JUST WEIGHED THIS KETTLE WHILE IT WAS FULL OF WATER AND IT ONLY WEIGHS 6 POUNDS. I can see that if you have trouble lifting a cat or bag of flour then you may have a problem here.
The craftsmanship is pure Kitchenaid. You will have no problem there. But beware that ONLY the stainless steel version is usable on glass-top stoves. The ceramic-covered versions are NOT. ***For those that don't know, you can click on this product to see what a glass-top stove/range looks like: Ceramabryte 28oz Cooktop Cleaner
The whistle is a bit screechy, but then again, you want it to alert you over the noise of the house.
The handle DOES get hot. Not burn-your-hand hot, but very warm. If you only touch the rubber part, you're fine, but you almost have to grab the whole thing to lift it and pour it safely.
I highly recommend getting the stainless steel version; it's beautiful and functional.
